Saline Area Schools Kindergarten Registration Will Be Held April 11

Saline Area Schools will host a kindergarten registration roundup April 11 for the 2013-2014 academic year.

In-district and Schools of Choice students and their families are welcome to attend the informational event from 6 to 8 p.m. at Liberty School, according to the Saline Area Schools website; those who enroll April 11 will receive a free drawstring backpack.

The following items are required for registration, according to the district.

• Proof of residency.
• Original birth certificate.
• Most recent immunization records with vision screening verification.
• Proof of guardianship if applicable. If the student is not living with either parent, proof of full guardianship from the probate court must be submitted.
• Court documents if applicable. A parent who wishes to have the school limit access to their child by the other parent, must provide legal documentation to this affect at time of registration.
• Custody papers if applicable. If parents are divorced, please provide papers of who has custody.

Families who are not able to attend the April 11 event may sign up their children for kindergarten at the district office at Liberty School.
