Saline Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

A suspect has been arrested in the 2012 robbery of the TCF Bank in Saline.
A fugitive task force arrested Charles Anthony Williams, 40, on March 28 in Los Angeles, according to a Saline Police Department press release. The Los Angeles resident's arrest concluded a nearly year-long investigation following the May 25 robbery.
"Teamwork was everything," Saline Police Department Detective Don Lupi said Monday. "Collaboration of different departments enabled this to happen."

The Saline Police Department worked with the Pittsfield Township Police Department, Jackson Police Department, Ann Arbor Police Department, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to solve the case, the press release said.
Williams, whom police say is a suspect in a nationwide series of bank robberies, has been charged in the Eastern District of Michigan: United States District Court, Lupi said.
