The Chief Financial Operating Officer of the No. 1 award-winning salsa company in the country and Shelby Township resident John Latella will be lending his expertise to the Salvation Army this year.
Latella will join new members, Tom O’Brien, Alexandrea Thrubis, Percy Richardson and George Clark Jr. on the Salvation Army's Metropolitan Detroit Advisory Board. The board already consists of 54 members of the community.
Prior to joining Garden Fresh, Latella served as a senior trial attorney in the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office where he led the Stop Crimes Against Macomb Seniors (SCAMS) Unit. Latella has a criminal justice degree from Wayne State University, a master's in finance from Walsh College and a law degree from Michigan State University.
