Shelby Township native Anthony Maiani has been acquired by the Colorado Eagles of the East Coast Hockey League, according to coloradoan.com.
Maiani was a standout college hockey player at the University of Denver, where he recorded 126 points in 158 regular season games.
The Colorado Eagles traded with the Wheeling Nailers to obtain Maiani, a 5-foot-7, 165-pound forward. He played one regular season game and three playoff games with Wheeling last season after completing his eligibility at the University of Denver.
