Kids Have Play Date with Creepy Crawlers
Kids can catch critters and learn about them Friday at Holland Ponds in Shelby Township.

If the mere mention of creepy crawlers, critters, tadpoles and frogs excites you or would electrify your children, then make a date Friday night.
naturalist Dan Farmer will lead a critter crawl at , located on Ryan Road just north of 22 Mile Road in Shelby Township, at 6:45 p.m.
The will provide kids with nets and pans to sort out their catch.

Farmer said kids can expect to catch mostly tadpoles, crayfish and immature and adult insects.
“Lots of critters live in the water and they’re very interesting,” said Farmer, who happens to be an aquatic specialist.

The cost is $2 for adults, $1 for kids four and up and free for kids under four. For more information, call 586-323-2478.
