Local Young Volunteers Recognized by Kohl's

Local volunteers were selected to receive a Kohl's gift card and a chance to receive $1,000 regional scholarship.

Some of the Shelby Township's youngest residents were among 90 young volunteers from Michigan who were recognized for "making a difference" in the Kohl's Cares Scholarships competition.

The students recognized will each receive a $50 gift card and recognition certificate from Kohl’s. Each of these winners have a chance to  receive a $1,000 regional scholarship for higher education.

Students from Shelby Township who won include:

  • Paige Piwinski, 12
  • Danielle Szajna, 16
