Michigan State Fair: Prices, Schedules and More Info

Here's all the information you need to know about the Great Lakes State Fair in Novi today through Labor Day.

The Great Lakes State Fair is here! The revamped Michigan State Fair runs this weekend in Novi.

The fair is open 8 a.m. to midnight today through Sunday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. Below is all of the information you need to know to plan your visit, including schedules for the midway rides, circus, contests and entertainment.

Location & Parking

The fair is being held at , located at 46100 Grand River Avenue between Beck Road and Novi Road in Novi. If you're coming from outside of Novi, you can text the Beck Road or the Novi Road exit from I-96.

Parking is available at the Showplace for $5.

Ticket Prices

Al-inclusive tickets at the gate (includes access to all exhibits, unlimited midway rides and one circus performance):

  • $30 for adults and children 12 and older
  • $25 for children 2-12

Tickets for just livestock, indoor exhibits and entertainment at the gate:

  • $8 for adults and children 12 and older
  • $6 for children 2-12

There is no charge for children 2 and younger.

Beer Garden & Outdoor Vendors Hours

  • Friday-Sunday 11 a.m. to midnight
  • Monday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Midway Hours & Info

The midway will have more than 20 rides, including a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, Shock Drop and Pharaoh's Fury. The midway will also have 15 games, including duck pond, milk bottle, rock wall, speedball and more.

More than 30 varieties of treats will also be available on the midway, including elephant ears, deep-fried Twinkies and Oreos, corn dogs, cotton candy, hot dogs, hamburgers and french fries.

Hours are as follows:

  • Friday-Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Monday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Circus Performance Times

Detroit’s own Shrine Circus will entertain crowds with musical clowns and animal acts, including ponies, canines, tigers and elephants. Aerial daredevils will perform death defying feats on motorcycles, roller skates and in giant wheels and massive swings. Your all-inclusive ticket gets you into one free viewing of the show.

  • 5 p.m.
  • 7:30 p.m. (Friday-Sunday only)
