On the Agenda: Utica City Council to Meet Tuesday Night

Council to decide on a temporary use permit for a car cruise and the police department will hand out annual awards at the meeting.

The Utica City Council will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at , 7550 Auburn Rd.

The meeting will feature a public hearing on a temporary use request for 44800 Van Dyke in which the owner of the property, Gary Ligotti, wants to hold a car cruise from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.

The planning commission recommended that council approve the request at a July 6 meeting and a public hearing on the matter is expected to begin at 8 p.m.

In other matters at the council meeting, the will hand out its annual department awards.

Other new business will include department reports from Mayor Jacqueline K. Noonan, the council, City Clerk Cathy McGrail, and Library Director Marsha Doege.
