Two golfers are in the top 10 after the first day of the Division 1 state finals at Grand Valley State, according to mhsaa.com.
Utica’s Taylor Clark is tied for eighth after shooting an 85, and the Chieftains’ Julia Montgomery is tied for 10th with an 86.
Utica is fifth in the team competition with a score of 370. Grosse Pointe South leads the tournament at 348.

Other top scorers for the Chieftains are Killian Casson (91) and Angela Hagen (108).
The state finals conclude Saturday.
