Second-half comeback attempt falls short as Shorians' record drops to 1-2 overall.

The Shorians trailed 26-7 at halftime, but Travis Joseph’s touchdown run—his second score of the night—brought them to within 26-14 with eight minutes and 15 seconds left in the third quarter.
But any hopes of a comeback for Lake Shore were squashed when Madison’s Juan Johnson returned an interception 66 yards for a touchdown with 6:47 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Madison added another score late in the fourth when the Eagles recovered a fumble punt in the end zone.
Lake Shore falls to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the MAC Gold. The Shorians will play at next week.
