Lake Shore Wins Volleyball 'War in the Shores'

The Lakeshore Shorians defeated both Lakeview and South Lake Tuesday to continue to be the reigning champ of the "War in the Shores," according to an email from the Lakeview Huskies volleyball team.

According to the email in the loss to the Lake Shore, the Huskies were led by Terese Feldpausch who had 9 kills, Emily Haas had 6 assists and Becky Corbett had 7 digs in the losing effort for the Huskies. Scores for this match were Lakeshore 25, 25 and Lakeview 11, 18.

In match 2 against South Lake, which counted for a MAC league game, the Huskies rallied back and swept the Cavaliers 3-0.  Scores for this match were Lakeview 25, 25, 25 and South Lake 8, 13, 12.  

Leading the way for the Huskies were Claire Flood with 7 kills, Ali Blankenship with 6 kills, Megan Haas with 8 kills, Josalyn Spear with 12 assists and Becky Corbett with 29 digs.

The Huskies remain undefeated in the MAC Silver.  Their next league game is Thursday, home, against Clawson.
