Pair Arrested for Alleged Assault After Fireworks Show
The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

A pair of 21-year-old Macomb County residents were arrested Wednesday after allegedly being involved in an assault following the St. Clair Shores fireworks.
Police were called after a 19-year-old was allegedly assaulted on Detour street. According to a police report, the man said two women were walking past his home when a car drove by and "verbally assaulted" the women.
The St. Clair Shores man told the men in the car to leave and the driver of the car, a 21-year-old Sterling Heights man, punched the St. Clair Shores resident. A witness reported a 21-year-old woman from Fraser got out of the car and also struck the man before fleeing in a Caprice Classic.

Officers were able to locate and stop the car. The occupants of the car said they had been in a verbal fight, and it was race related, according to a police report.
Police arrested the 21-year-old Fraser woman for assault and battery. A 21-year-old male from Sterling Heights was arrested for assault and battery and driving while license suspended.
