It’s finally Friday, so get ready for the weekend in St. Clair Shores with our day planner.

• Friday not only means the weekend, it also means a slight break in the oppressive heat, according to the National Weather Service. Though conditions still will be warm and muggy, the high temperature of 88 degrees will be more than 10 degrees lower than Thursday’s high. There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms.
• Boaters on Lake St. Clair should be prepared for variable winds at under 10 knots, then changing to the south at 5-10 knots. Waves will be around a foot.
