The First State Fireworks Extravaganza started the Fourth of July holiday weekend Wednesday with a colorful pyrotechnics show over Lake St. Clair.
The show capped a full day of activities for families in Veterans Memorial Park that included exercise demonstrations, live music and playing in the lake and splash pad.
