Weekend Road Construction

Traffic on I-94 heading downtown may be heavy this weekend with projects scheduled on the roadway this weekend.

The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced the following weekend projects on I-94. These projects may affect drivers from St. Clair Shores.

I-94

  • Eastbound I-94 from French Road to 8 Mile Road, and westbound I-94 from Outer Drive to French Road, will have single-lane closures nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays Friday, Jan. 4, until mid-January for lighting and sign work. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, the single-lane closures will be lifted at 9 a.m.

  • Northbound and southbound Groesbeck between Hayes Road and 14 Mile Road will have intermittent single-lane closures daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until the end of January for signal work.
