State Sen. Patrick Colbeck (R-Canton) is scheduled to visit with members of the community to discuss pressing issues over coffee.

State Sen. Patrick Colbeck (R-Canton) is set to visit Trenton from 9 to 10 a.m. April 11 at TV's Deli & Diner, 2441 Fort Street.

According to a press release Colbeck wants to meet with local constituents and discuss issues facing the community and state over a cup of coffee.

“We are facing difficult economic times in Michigan and there will be tough decisions that we’ll need to make in order to return opportunity and prosperity to our state and our residents," Colbeck said. "I encourage district residents to join me at one of these public meetings so that all voices can be heard and we can discuss some of the options before us.”

Recent budget cuts have made it impossible for Colbeck to staff and maintain a district office according to the release. Colbeck said he hopes that the coffee hours will provide residents another opportunity to meet with their state senator and share their thoughts or concerns.
