Dispute Between Friends Ends in Arson

Trenton fire officials believe an argument between two friends ended with one of the men starting a fire in the dining room of a house at about 9:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of Birchwood.
Trenton Fire Marshal Jeff Evans said the men were in their late teens and one of the men might have used lighter fluid to set the fire to settle an argument.
He added officials do not know which man started the fire and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The fire caused minor damage to the dining room floor and a table. There were no injuries.

"They had the fire out before anything could happen," Evans said.
Evans said he does not know what the men were fighting about.
No charged were filed Monday afternoon.
