Elizabeth Park Set for Jazz on the River in Trenton
Food vendors will be on site to supply mountains of tasty grub while you dance the afternoon away.
Wayne County tents remain in place at Elizabeth Park from last weekend's New Country on the River in anticipation of another celebration of music.
Jazz on the River is coming to Trenton from 1 p.m. to dusk on Aug. 3 and 4.
Here's a list of musical acts scheduled for the event:
Saturday, August 3
- Athena Johnson & Friends at 1 p.m.
- Demetrius Nabors at 2:30 p.m.
- Brian Simpson at 4:00 p.m.
- Nick Colionne at 5:30 p.m.
- Jeff Lorber Fusion featuring Paul Jackson Jr. and Eric Marienthal at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 4
- Deon Yates at 1 p.m.
- Testimony at 2:30 p.m.
- Lin Rountree at 4:00 p.m.
- Alexander Zonjic with special guest Keiko Matsui at 5:30 p.m.
- Sax & The City starring Marion Meadows, Paul Taylor, Vincent Ingala and Joe McBride at 7:30 p.m.
The event is free to the public. There is a $5 suggested donation for parking. Free parking is available in Downtown Trenton with a free shuttle provided by Smart Transportation at the corner of West Jefferson Avenue and West Road and West Jefferson Avenue and Elm Street.
