Police Blotter: A Trenton Woman is Intimidated By Sexually Harrassing Phone Calls

A woman reported that a man left "sexual" messages on her voice mail.

A 27-year-old Trenton woman reported to at about 10 a.m. April 14 that a man was harassing her via her cell phone.

The woman told police that the calls began at about 3 a.m. the same day the incident was reported.

She said the calls were from an unknown male who initially said he had the wrong number, however she said the man called her by her first name. He then continued to call the woman several times after the initial call.

According to police the man referred to himself as an African male and has since left messages on her voice mail. Police listened to one of the messages and said the man made “sexual comments in regards to his race” in the message.

Polce said the woman appeared to be very upset and intimidated by the messages.

At least one of the numbers used to leave the messages are from a land line in Trenton according to the woman, who told police she searched for the number on the Internet.

The woman told police she had a “very rough break-up” from her boyfriend who lives in Trenton and felt he could be responsible for the calls.

The woman said she would like to pursue charges if the man can be determined.

Police told the woman to keep track of the phone calls and keep the voice mails for the case to be investigated.
