Police Blotter: Man Tells Police He Was Assualted at Work
A truck driver was punched in the face by a fellow employee.

A 57-year-old man made an assault complaint to police that he was punched in his face at his place of employment by a fellow employee at about 9:45 a.m. May 9.
The man told that at about 4:30 a.m. he and another truck driver were preparing their rigs for the day when the other truck driver approached him and asked for a piece of equipment. The man handed over the piece of equipment.
While the man sat inside the cab of his truck, the other truck driver jumped up next to the cab and punched the man in the face through the open window.

The man asked the truck driver why he had punched him and according to a police report the man said he was “sick and tired of everyone talking about him” and added he would fight everyone.
The man went home for the day and contacted his boss, who instructed him to obtain a police report.

Police said the man’s right eye was bruised and swollen.
The man said he did not wish to pursue charges against the man who punched him, but believed his employer would use the police report for disciplinary actions.
