Police Blotter: Stereo Stolen Out of Unlocked Car

Unlocked Pontiac Grand Prix

A 28-year-old man reported to police his car stereo was stolen out of his 1998 red Pontiac Grand Prix while parked in the 3300 block of Norwood Drive between 1-5 a.m. on June 25.

The man said the car was left unlocked.

Police said the driver’s side front tire was also slashed.

The stereo and amplifier were valued at $350.

Unlocked Ford Ranger

A 51-year-old man told police items were stolen out of his unlocked pickup truck at about 10 a.m. June 25 in the 2500 block of Andover Street.

The man said someone had stolen a cordless drill and an electric saw that belonged to his employer.

The man said he left the 2000 Ford Ranger unlocked and someone gained access to the car by using the door.
