Trenton Parents Say Free and Reduced Lunch Guidelines Are Too Strict

Trenton residents and parents of children attending had a lot to say about the created by the Michigan Department of Education.

Nearly every person that commented on Friday's Facebook post said the income was far too low and the guidelines need to be re-evaluated.

Michigan families with an annual income of $14,521 or less qualify for free or reduced lunch, according to the Michigan Department of Education, but many friends of the Trenton Patch Facebook page believe this number is too low.
