We have a rundown on things to know today.

  1. Good news. The thunderstorms have gone. Bad news. Scattered showers haven't. The National Weather Service is calling for scattered showers all day with a high near 67 degrees. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation. The rain should stop overnight, and skies will remain partly cloudy with low near 55 degrees.
  2. In recognition of Trenton's rich hockey traditions, we bring you the Hockey Term of the Day: center or center forward, the center player in the forward line who usually leads his team’s attack when they are trying to score a goal; he takes part in most of the faceoffs; he controls the puck and tries to score or pass it to a teammate who is in a better position to score a goal.   3. Get over to the Trenton Cultural Center, 2427 West Road, tomorrow morning for the next Community Garden work day. Volunteers will be thinning plants, weeding, installing bamboo poles and harvesting. The work begins at 9:30 a.m. Bring gloves and be ready to help your community with some good old fashioned labor.
