Trenton, Grosse Ile Declare Snow Emergency

A snow emergency has been declared in Trenton and Grosse Ile. All vehicles must be removed from the streets to allow the cities to provide efficient plowing services. 

Trenton residents are permitted to use municipal parking lots during snow
emergencies on a temporary basis, police said. 

In Trenton, municipal parking is available at the corner of Saint Joseph Street and W. Jefferson Avenue, Rotary Park, Elizabeth Park, Trenton City Hall and other public lots in the city.

Trenton Police warn residents to move cars.

On Grosse Ile, once a winter emergency has been declared, parking is prohibited on all streets within the Township and all Township municipal parking lots, "and areas...until the winter emergency is terminated by announcement" or until certain streets have become clear curb-to-curb of snow and ice. 

According to the Grosse Ile Code of Ordinances: Any owner of a motor vehicle which is parked on any street scheduled for snow removal during the emergency is subject to civil infraction.
