Trenton, Grosse Ile Declare Snow Emergency
Police are asking residents to move cars from the street or risk being towed.

A snow emergency has been declared in Trenton and Grosse Ile. All vehicles must be removed from the streets toΒ allow the citiesΒ to provide efficient plowing services.Β
Trenton residents are permitted to use municipal parking lots during snow
emergencies on a temporary basis, police said.Β
In Trenton, municipalΒ parking isΒ availableΒ at the corner ofΒ SaintΒ JosephΒ StreetΒ and W. Jefferson Avenue,Β Rotary Park, Elizabeth Park, Trenton City Hall and other public lots in the city.Β

Trenton Police warn residents to move cars.
On Grosse Ile, once a winter emergency has beenΒ declared, parking is prohibited on all streets within the Township and all Township municipal parking lots,Β "and areas...until the winter emergency is terminated by announcement" or until certain streets have become clearΒ curb-to-curbΒ of snow and ice.Β
According to theΒ Grosse IleΒ Code ofΒ Ordinances:Β Any owner of a motor vehicle which is parked on any street scheduled for snow removal during the emergency is subjectΒ to civil infraction.
