Like a golf philosopher, Rich Smith said the best golf club in his store is the one that best fits the user.

Smith said even the most expensive clubs won't improve a golfer's game without first being tailored to that particular golfer.

Club parts including club heads, shafts and grips are all evaluated and manipulated in the process of finding the perfect club for each individual golfer.

A golfer's swing speed also plays a role in club selection.

"Too many people buy clubs because the pros use them," Smith said. "The pros use them because they get paid to use them."
