Bontaz Centre Moving Madison Heights Operations To Troy
French Auto Supplier To Open New US HQ In March

Bontaz Centre, a French company specializing in subassembly manufacturing, is moving operations from its Madison Heights plant to a new facility set to open in Troy this March. The move will double the size of Bontaz’s factory, which will relocate to a newly-leased 40,000-square-foot facility on Chicago Road. The new plant will focus on research and development, production and warehouse storage, according to Crain’s Detroit Business.
Bontaz Centre’s new landlord, Allegra Development LLC, also promised to add 20,000 square feet to the existing building as Bontaz continues to grow. The expansion plan is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2019, according to Crain’s.
Colliers International Inc.'s Southfield office completed a 10-year lease deal with Bontaz earlier this month. Colliers Senior Vice President Gary Grochowski refused to disclose the amount of the lease.
