METRO DETROIT, MI — Local business owners, restaurants and merchants are invited to partner with the Suburban Library Cooperative’s 21 area libraries and offer thousands of library cardholders great discounts.

At no cost to the business, the Suburban Library Cooperative will take care of all marketing, promotion and organization in order to introduce the business to all of its members. All the business owner needs to offer is a discount to be publicized, organizers explained.

The SLC has launched its new GO LIBRARY CARD discount program at ALL Macomb County libraries as well as Harper Woods Library and Troy Public LIbrary. The program is designed to be simple. Library members can present their library card at any participating business to get a discount or other value-added offer.

SLC is currently signing up businesses/restaurants/merchants who wish to offer discounts to patrons. There is no charge to be a business partner. Business owners who want to offer discounts should go to www.golibrarycard.org and click on the “add your business” tab to submit a business.

SLC reviews the requests, and, if approved, will send a window decal at no charge for businesses to use to indicate their participation. SLC will then promote and market the discount to all cardholders.
