Deputies Treat Possible Heroin Overdose Victim

The woman's two children were present in the home during the incident.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a call regarding a woman who had possibly overdosed on heroin, according to a press release.

Deputies were dispatched to a house in the 100 block of Clark St. in Pontiac on Jan. 2 at 12:17 p.m. Arriving Deputies observed a 29-year-old woman lying on a bedroom floor, unconscious and exhibiting shallow breathing. A Deputy administered a dose of Narcan. Arriving paramedics then administered a second dose of Narcan, at which point the woman regained consciousness. Paramedics transported the woman to McLaren Oakland Hospital for medical treatment.

The woman's two children were in the home during the incident and Children’s Protective Services have been notified. The woman was issued an appearance citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the incident is under investigation.
