Detroit Woman Suspected Of Stealing More Than $1K From Troy Target: Police
Troy Police said a Detroit woman allegedly took more than $1,000 worth of items from a Troy Target store.

TROY, MI — A 70-year-old woman was recently arrested for allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars worth of items from a Coolidge Highway Target, according to Troy Police. The woman entered the store at about 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 7 and attempted to take $355.97 worth of merchandise, reports said.
Target Loss Prevention employees stopped her as she tried to leave. They told Troy Police officers that the Detroit woman allegedly stole $310.89 worth of items on Sept. 23 and $533.55 more on Sept. 29, reports said.
She was then arrested by Troy officers and charged with Retail Fraud - First Degree. Stolen Car Recovered
Dearborn Police recovered a stolen 2017 Cadillac XT5 on Oct. 4. According to Troy Police, the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Nordstrom’s on W. Big Beaver Road at about 5 p.m.

The victim told police she had been shopping at several stores at Somerset Collection and discovered her car missing when she left at 6:40 p.m. Reports said the XT5 was equipped with On-Star and officers were able to locate the car, first in Detroit and then in Dearborn.
Reports said On-Star employees disabled the car. Dearborn Police found the vehicle and the alleged thief and arrested him. He was charged with Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property, reports said.
