Local Designers Showcase Hot Fashion at Fire & Ice Festival

From floor-length gowns to graphic t-shirts, dozens of trendy designs by local designers Esoteric Lifestyle, Oh So Savvy and Pink Suede Elephant made their way down the catwalk Saturday at the Vintage Dollhouse Fashion Show at the Art Institute of Michigan – Troy.

The event coincided with an open house at the school, which .

During the open house, visitors were invited to vote on students' artwork and designs. Chelsea Gregory's paper dress won the "Dress Me, Please" contest, and a design by Skyler Simone won the school's mascot design contest. 

Simone's design for the  logo contest was also chosen as the winning design by a panel of celebrity judges. It will be used for the Chamber's newest addition to its website, "Taking Time in the T," which lists hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues and retailers in Troy.
