Elderly Man Banned from Troy Beaumont; Valet Assaulted at Church

Troy Beaumont bans elderly man for making threats
A 78-year-old Clinton Township man, whose wife was a patient at , was banned from the hospital premises Friday after he made threats against hospital employees, according to a media release from the Troy Police Department
On Saturday, Troy Police Communications was notified by another police department that the man had called another area hospital and made a threat. Troy officers conducted a follow-up investigation and found the man at Beaumont Hospital, Troy, according to the media release. He was cited for trespassing.

Valet assaulted at church
A man working as a valet for a party held at reported being assaulted Friday night by an unknown man.
According to a media release from the Troy Police Department, a man approached the valet and asked to use his lighter. When the valet asked for the lighter back, the man began swearing at him and punched him in the face twice. The valet told police he thought the man may be intoxicated.

Joyriding Rochester Hills teen arrested after crash
Troy officers responded to Walmart Friday evening after a woman reported her car had been hit in the parking lot. The woman believed the driver was intoxicated and hiding inside the store, according to a media release from the police department.
Officers arrived and located the driver, a 19-year-old Rochester Hills man, in the store's bathroom. The man eventually came out and spoke with Troy officers, who learned the man was not intoxicated and did not have a driver's license. The man, who did not have identification on him at the time, gave officers his name and birthday; his mother, who was on the scene, confirmed the information, according to the media release.
The man was cited for Michigan operator's license never acquired and was released.
Officers soon learned the man had given a false name, and that he really had a suspended driver's license and three outstanding warrants for his arrest. Officers arrested the man at his Rochester Hills home and cited his 39-year-old mother with hindering and obstructing a police officer.
The man was charged with driving while license suspended, hindering and obstructing a police officer, two felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant.
Man chases off teens swimming in his pool
Officers responded Thursday night to a report of approximately seven people running down Kilmer Street and yelling. Officers arrived and spoke with the homeowner, who said he had chased the teens after he found them swimming in his pool, according to a media release from the police department. The man's fence and volleyball net were damaged during the incident.
