Suspected Shoplifter Arrested With Kids In Tow
A Detroit woman was arrested after attempting to take hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from a 14 Mile Road store, Troy Police said.

TROY, MI — A 28-year-old Detroit woman was arrested for retail fraud Thursday after attempting to steal hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from a 14 Mile Road store, according to Troy Police. The woman attempted to leave a Macy’s Department store without paying for several items, reports said.
The woman, who had her two young children with her, was stopped by Macy’s loss prevention associates at about 3:50 p.m. Reports said she began resisting and continued to struggle until Troy Police arrived and handcuffed her.

Several fixtures and clothes racks were knocked over in the struggle, reports said. The Detroit woman was arrested by Troy officers and charged with Retail Fraud – 1st Degree.
Police said she also had multiple warrants for her arrest from several local municipalities, although they were not named in reports. Her children were turned over into their father’s custody, police said.
