SVSU student Emily VanFleteren, of Troy, named peer advisor

Emily VanFleteren, a physcial education major from Troy, has been selected as a peer advisor for Saginaw Valley State University.

Peer advisors are an important team of student leaders who are trained to assist with academic advising, the first-year transition, career and major exploration, as well as support students who are at-risk academically or socially.

Through special events, small group workshops, and individual appointments, peer advisors serve as a resource for their fellow students on academic questions and regarding campus life at SVSU in general.
