TONIGHT: Troy City Councilman to Host Panel Opposing DIA Tax
Councilman Doug Tietz will moderate tonight's event at the Troy Community Center.
Tonight, Troy City Councilman Doug Tietz will host a panel discussion in opposition to the proposed DIA tax at 7:30 p.m. inside the .Â
"Higher taxes alone won't save the DIA," Tietz said. "The DIA has developed a spending problem. Citizens need to know all the facts before they support a $230 million tax increase."
Panel members include: Tietz, Bruce Walker of MichiganView.com, Rep. Tom McMillin, County Commissioner Robert Gosselin, and Simon Haddad of the Michigan Taxpayers Alliance.
