“Our military troops are far from home working hard to preserve our freedom every day,” said David R. Krall, vice president and general counsel of White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery. “We’re looking forward to seeing a lot of people come through our gates to support our troops who are enduring harsh conditions.

“White Chapel will collect all the donated items and the Michigan Military Moms will package them to ensure our overseas military troops receive a care package to remind them of home,” added Krall. “In the past five years of hosting the care package drive, we’ve seen a wonderful outpouring of support and love for our troops through the generosity of the Metro Detroit community. At White Chapel, we couldn’t be more proud of and thankful for the show of support for our brave heroes.”

Regarded as Michigan’s veterans’ cemetery, White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery is home to several veterans’ memorials, including the WWII Four Freedoms Memorial, inspired by President Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms.  The Memorial is sculptured in imperishable marble in one of White Chapel’s most impressive memorials.
