Tapper's Annual Coat Drive Kicks Off Nov. 1

Tapper’s strongly believes in giving back to our community. It’s one of our company’s most important core values. For the past 20 years, we have been successfully in hosting an Annual Coat Drive, providing gently used and clean coats, new hats, gloves and blankets to those in need. With the support of business partners like you, we have been able to provide approximately 35,700 items to families in need throughout the years.

This year, Tapper’s 21^st Annual Coat Drive will take place Nov. 1-20, 2012. With your support, we’d like to make this our most successful coat drive to date! Our goal is to provide 2,500 gently used clean coats, new hats, gloves, and blankets to families in need this year. With your help, we will accomplish our goal.

Please drop off items at Tapper’s West Bloomfield location (6337 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48322) between Nov. 1-22, and we’ll handle the rest.

We also accept cash donations, which we use toward the of purchase brand-new coats, at or below wholesale prices. We have developed something called the Angel Challenge to help motivate your staff to help us collect record donations…

2012 Angel Challenge

The Tapper’s Angel Challenge is an opportunity to inspire and motivate your associates to help those who are less fortunate in our community. Our challenge is to donate more than 2,500 coats, new hats, gloves and blankets before winter arrives. For as little as a $20 contribution, we are able to keep one child warm this winter by providing him or her with a coat and gloves.

We ask you and your associates to form teams, set goals, and commit to achieving success! If each staff member pledges to raise a minimum donation of $20, it will go a long way to support our community. Each dollar we raise is very important. Please feel free to use the following donation goals:

• $10,000 will buy 500 coats & gloves for our children
• $7,500 will buy 325 coats & gloves and 1,000 new hats
• $5,000 will buy 200 warm blankets
• $2,500 will buy 150 coats and gloves & 25 warm hats
• $1,000 will buy 100 new hats
• $500 will buy 25 new blankets
