Education Nation to Spotlight WB High School's Medical Mentorship Program
The Education Nation bus tour stops at West Bloomfield High School today while WDIV-Channel 4 will be discussing the high school's Medical Mentorship program Tuesday evening.

One of West Bloomfield High School's math and science programs will be spotlighted today as part of the Education Nation bus tour, which will visit WBHS at noon today.
First launched in 2010 by NBC News and this year partnering with WDIV-Local 4 News in Detroit, the .
Last week, NBC education correspondents Chelsea Clinton and Rehema Ellis visited the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, hosting a Detroit Education Summit as well as student and teacher town halls.

But on Tuesday, the Education Nation bus tour will be rolling into West Bloomfield, collecting new and gently-used books for the United Way of Southeastern Michigan. The West Bloomfield marching band will perform while Local 4 News will broadcast live from the high school.
In addition, at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., Channel 4's medical correspondent Dr. Frank McGeorge will take a look at West Bloomfield High School's Medical Mentorship program, a sponsored program of Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.Â

During a10-12 week internship, high school students are introduced to primary and specialty care medicine by Henry Ford doctors as part of the Medical Mentorship program.
McGeorge will speak with West Bloomfield teacher Chris Sturgill, Dr. Kenneth Levin from the Henry Ford, as well as four students currently in the program.
