Huerto Celebrates with Greater West Bloomfield Chamber

Huerto, a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar that will open in October, celebrated a ribbon cutting with the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Wednesday evening.

Partners Eduardo Mayin, Safa Zuraga and Mark Mendolaa, all of metropolitan Detroit, plan a "soft" opening Oct. 7, but the restaurant will participate in the Chamber's Oct. 3 Grub Crawl. The restaurant is named in honor of its location at 6199 Orchard Lake Road; "huerto" is the Spanish word for orchard, Mayin said.
