New Company Takes Over at West Bloomfield's Civic Center TV

Motown Digital may be new, but viewers will see some familiar faces when the company takes over Jan. 1, 2014.

A new company with some familiar faces will be operating public, government and school cable channels in West Bloomfield, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake, and Sylvan Lake.

The Greater West Bloomfield Cable Communications Commission last week entered into a yearlong agreement with Motown Digital for programming available to viewers on Comcast Cable, AT&T cable, and via the internet at CivicCenterTV.com, effective Jan 1, 2014, according to a press release.

Commission executive director Dave Albery said that while the company is new, viewers will continue to see Emmy Lucas, George Moore, and others hosting shows and special features. Moore and Lucas first appeared on Civic Center TV earlier this year and have been part of the fresh new look offered by the local channels.
