MINNESOTA — After a chilly Monday, temperatures across Minnesota will begin to rebound, setting up a stretch of mild and quiet weather that could last for a while, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs Monday will top out in the mid-30s for most of the state, with a few flurries possible overnight. But forecasters say the cold won’t stick around for long. By Tuesday, highs will jump into the upper 40s to near 50, and the warming trend will continue through the end of the week.

“Conditions will remain dry and uneventful through the week, with the next chance for widespread precipitation arriving next weekend,” forecasters in the Twin Cities office said Monday.

Highs are expected to reach the low to mid-50s by Thursday and Friday, well above normal for mid-November.

National outlooks from NOAA back up the warm trend. The 6–10 and 8–14 day temperature forecasts both show a strong probability of above-normal temperatures across Minnesota and Wisconsin lasting into Thanksgiving week.

If those projections hold, the state could see a prolonged stretch of mild, dry weather before any significant winter systems return later this month.
