How Much Snow Fell Last Night In The Twin Cities? Here Are The Totals

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 80 crashes and 11 jackknifed semis Wednesday morning as several inches of snow hit Minnesota.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Snow tapered off early Wednesday across eastern Minnesota, but not before dropping several inches across the Twin Cities metro and parts of western Wisconsin.

Blowing snow continues this morning, and the National Weather Service is urging drivers to give themselves extra time as many roads remain partially to completely snow-covered.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 80 crashes, 7 spinouts, 89 vehicles off the road, and 11 jackknifed semis between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Wednesday. One of the crashes resulted in injuries. Troopers are asking drivers to slow down and leave extra space.

Today: A 30 percent chance of snow before 9am. Patchy blowing snow. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Blustery, with a northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Tonight: Patchy blowing snow before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Thanksgiving Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 26. Northwest wind around 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
