Daughter Of Sergeant Dies Of Accidental Strangulation: Report

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — The eight-year-old daughter of Washington County Sergeant Ty Jacobson died due to accidental strangulation July 29, The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.

Camilla Jacobson died of asphyxia due to compression of the neck after officials say she got tangled in a pair of leggings and strangled herself, the publication reported.

Officers were called to the Jacobson home July 27 responding to a report that a girl was choking and was purple, the report said. The caller told police that Camilla may have strangled herself, according to the report.

Camilla was taken to Regions Hospital where she died two days later, the publication reported.

A fundraiser was started for the Jacobson family.
