Woodbury PD Warns Of Spike In Car Theft
The thefts have been occurring in the northeast side of the city, according to officials.
WOODBURY, MN — Woodbury's Public Safety Department warned residents Wednesday of a recent spike in motor vehicle theft in the northeast area of the city.
In many of the cases of vehicle theft, the stolen vehicles had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police said.
In two recent cases, victims reported seeing a dark grey or black Nissan Altima or Honda Accord they may be associated with the thefts, police said.

Victims include both residents and workers of food delivery services, police said.
"Please be mindful of locking vehicles, taking keys with you, and closing garage doors," the department said in a Facebook post. "Officers will continue to patrol the area, and we ask that if you witness any suspicious activity, call 9-1-1."
