Las Vegas Man Arrested In Connection With Homeless Killings
Twenty-six year old man facing federal weapons charge identified as suspected killer, police said Tuesday.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Police have arrested 26-year old Joshua Castellon in connection with the string of shootings that left two homeless men dead. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said on Tuesday that a tip from the public led police to identifying Castellon as the suspect in the case.
He was arrested on Feb. 16 on a federal weapons charge by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents. On Tuesday, LVMPD issued a warrant for Castellon's arrest for two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Police allege that he is the man responsible for the murder of two homeless men in Las Vegas, and two other shootings that left two injured.
"As we reported to all of you over the past couple of weeks, this case was a top priority for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department," Capt. Robert Plummer of LVMPD said. "He is dangerous and we had to get him into custody."

Plummer said that surveillance footage of the suspect as well as a light blue SUV and ballistic evidence collected from the crime scenes were used in Castellon's arrest.
"This case would not have been solved if it weren't for a viewer who provided us with a key tip that helped identify Castellon," Plummer said.

Castellon will be booked into Clark County Detention Center following the case involving the federal weapons charge.
Original Story
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police announced a press conference for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss an arrest warrant which has been issued in the case involving four recent shootings - two of which were fatal - that they say are connected.
Metro police said earlier this month that shootings that left two homeless men dead were also connected to two non-fatal shootings. In one case, a man can be seen shooting a sleeping homeless man twice before running back to his vehicle.
This story will be updated after the press conference.
