Man Arrested In Chicago For Infant Death Extradited To Las Vegas

31-year old Eric Chu was extradited from Chicago to Las Vegas and booked into Clark County Detention Center.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A man who fled Las Vegas and was arrested in Chicago after the death of his infant child in January has been extradited to Las Vegas.

Eric Chu, 31, was booked into Clark County Detention Center on Feb. 13, where he is facing one count of murder. Police allege that Chu is responsible for the death of the infant, which they say "appeared to be the result of battery."

On Jan. 23, LVMPD responded to a home on W. Charleston Blvd. to respond to a report of a 10-month old infant not breathing and a man making threats to medical responders. The infant was taken to University Medical Center and died the following day.

Prior to the infant's death, Clark County Family Services investigated neglect allegations, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported earlier this month.
