Police Make Arrest In Las Vegas Murder Case

A suspect in a Feb. 11 murder in Las Vegas was arrested by police on Monday.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A Las Vegas man has been arrested in connection with a Feb. 11 murder at an apartment complex on Van Patten St.

Officers from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Henderson Police Department, North Las Vegas Police Department, and the FBI making up the Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 29-year old Deandre Gathrite on Feb. 26.

Police say the shooting which led to Gathrite's arrest followed an argument with the victim. The victim was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Gathrite is currently being held in Clark County Detention Center facing one charge of open murder and one charge of possession of a gun by a prohibited person. He appeared in court Wednesday morning.
