Recent Murders Of Homeless Men Connected, Las Vegas Police Say
Police seeking suspect they say is responsible for multiple recent shootings around the Las Vegas valley.
LAS VEGAS, NV - Police say four recent shootings - three in Las Vegas, and one in Logandale - are all connected. Police are looking for a single suspect who they say is responsible for the murder of two homeless men and the attempted murder of another.
A police investigation connected three shootings which occurred on Jan. 29 and another which occurred on Feb. 2 to the same suspect.
At 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 29, the alleged suspect pulled in front of a convenience store in Logandale and fired several shots at a person, striking the victim one time. The suspect fled in his vehicle and the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Surveillance footage from the convenience store showed the vehicle was connected to two shootings which occurred just hours later.

Just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 29, a man was sleeping outside of a business on the 2900 block of W. Washington St. when the suspect approached him and shot him. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
At 7:13 a.m. on Jan. 29, a homeless man was taken to University Medical Center after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head near Veterans Memorial Dr. and E. Washington Ave. The victim was sleeping when he was shot and couldn't recall the incident, police said.

On Feb. 2 just after 4 a.m., the suspect approached a homeless man and shot him multiple times, killing him in his sleep. Surveillance footage of the incident showed the suspect pulling up in a vehicle before exiting, shooting the man, and fleeing.
The suspect in these four crimes has been described by police as either white or Hispanic, standing six feet tall. The suspect was driving a Hyundai Tucson, model year between 2016 and 2018.
