Off-Strip Murder Leaves One Dead In Las Vegas
A shooting outside of an apartment complex east of the Las Vegas Strip left one man dead Sunday night.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A shooting just east of the Las Vegas Strip left a man dead Sunday night, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said. Metro officers responded to a call of a shooting on Van Patten St. at 8:40 p.m. on Sunday and found a man with a gunshot wound at the scene. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
So far, police said the investigation indicates a group of people were gathered outside of an apartment complex at the 2600 block of Van Patten St. when an argument broke out. At some point during the altercation, police say a male suspect fired several rounds from a gun, striking the victim. The suspect had fled the scene when police arrived.
