Bedford Native Named College All-American

Bishop Guertin grad leads team in scoring.

For four years, Jack Krzyston, dominated New Hampshire high school lacrosse, leading Bishop Guertin to multiple state championships.

Now, the Bedford native is flexing his prowess on the college pitch, guiding Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to the Division III tournament title game while leading the Tigers in scoring with 78 points on 51 goals and 27 assists.

Krzyston, in fact, was one of two players to notch two goals in RIT's 10-9 overtime victory over SUNY Cortland in the D-III semifinals on Sunday, May 19. He also provided an assist in the contest.

The Tigers are set to face Stevenson for the national championship at 4 p.m. this Sunday, May 26, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

In addition to team success, Krzyston has compiled several personal accolades including 2013 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-Liberty League selection.

He's averaging 3.71 points per game this season and has recorded at least one point in 20 of 21 games. On May 11, he became the 41st player in the history of RIT men's lacrosse to surpass 100 career points. He is one of a record eight RIT players to be names to the 2013 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American team.
