Bedford Schools to Issue Electronic Report Cards

Here are 5 things you should know in Bedford today.

1. Modern and green. Bedford School District Assistant Superintendent Chip McGee issued the following statement via the Bedford High School website:

For the third quarter, Lurgio Middle School and Bedford High School will begin using electronic report cards. Approximately one week after grades are final (at BHS grades are final on April 5 and at Lurgio on April 12), parents/guardians will be notified that the grades have been posted. Please note that when a significant amount of work is completed and graded at the end of a quarter, the grade can change, up or down, as it is entered into PowerSchool. The electronic report card allows parents/guardians, students, and teachers to discuss a student's performance based on the most up-to-date grades stored in the Parent Portal. The Parent Portal allows parents/guardians and students to "click through" students' grades and see teacher comments, assignment descriptions, and individual assignments that comprise the grade. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school (the middle school's number is 310-9100 and the high school's number is 310-9000).

2. Bow Wow Bedford. Bedford residents are invited to bring their four-legged friends to the Animal Rescue League, on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a $19 rabies clinic and discounts for Bedford residents for Micro chipping.
